Pydantic has released HTTPX2, a next-generation Python HTTP client positioned as the continuation of HTTPX, whose original development had seen limited activity.
- Pydantic is taking over stewardship to provide timely security updates for a library sitting in the critical path of many production systems
- HTTPX2 is fully featured: integrated CLI client, HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 support, and both sync and async APIs
- Released under the pydantic GitHub org, already at 1.4k stars, with credit to @lovelydinosaur and the HTTPX community
