User ditches Claude for ChatGPT, calling Opus 5 lazy and stubborn as GPT 6 lands

A heavy AI user describes switching back to ChatGPT after months with Claude. He finds Opus 5/Fable models increasingly capable but also lazy, slow to understand, and stubborn — "a battle" to work with. He also claims Anthropic degrades old models with each release (after Fable 5, and again after Fable 5.1). A free month of ChatGPT Plus let him try GPT 5.6, which he finds much faster to understand problems though slightly weaker solutions, and with GPT 6 out he's ready to move off Claude entirely, keeping only $80 in unused Fable credits. His takeaway: competition matters.
