Per The Information, Anthropic has secured at least 14.8GW of new compute since October, potentially costing up to $517B over the next decade. Its annualized revenue has reportedly passed $65B, ahead of OpenAI's $40+B — though OpenAI claims roughly 2X planned compute capacity. Claude now spans AWS Trainium, Google TPUs and Nvidia, with up to 2GW of AMD planned from 2027. Suppliers are increasingly financing the company committed to buying their infrastructure: Amazon announced $5B new investment (up to $20B more) plus a $100B+ compute commitment; Microsoft and Nvidia committed up to $5B and $10B while Anthropic agreed to buy $30B of Azure capacity. Under such circular arrangements, utilization and serving margins are more informative than fundraising totals alone.
