GPT-6 Astra autonomously completed Portal. FakePsyho argues the result matters less for puzzle-solving (Portal is linear and walkthroughs suffice) than for efficient 3D navigation, spatial reasoning, combining instructions from multiple sources, micro-adjustments after failures, and not getting stuck — at a surprisingly low cost of $167. Notably, one of OpenAI's 2016 technical goals was "solving a wide variety of games using a single agent."
