Google DeepMind has announced WeatherNext 3, calling it a major breakthrough in global weather forecasting. Built with Google Research, the model learns directly from real-world, real-time observations to deliver faster, more localized and highly accurate predictions. DeepMind research lead Raia Hadsell says the launch shows frontier AI can accurately model the complexity of Earth's atmosphere and benefit humanity.
