- Part generation: Tripo P2 created the head, hair, body and clothing as separate low-poly pieces — splitting parts yielded cleaner results, and most models were usable as-is.
- Assembly: GPT ("Astra") assembled the pieces in Blender and made small fixes.
- Expressions: Tripo generated multiple facial-expression variants; the AI then wired up in-Blender switching between them instead of hand-building each face.
- Rigging & animation: A custom helper app set up the skeleton so the character can move, with extra motion for loose parts; the finished clip shows it dancing.
The author suggests applications in short animations and game-character prototyping, but notes you still need 3D knowledge to guide the AI and catch mistakes. The takeaway: offloading the tedious setup is sharply lowering the barrier to character creation.
