A researcher open-sourced two MIT-licensed agent skills, Claire (English) and Clara (PT-BR), for scientific manuscript review: language editing with change logs, numeric consistency audits across text/tables/figures, Reviewer 2-style appraisal, thesis structural review, and journal-specific adaptation. The standout: MCP servers query PubMed, Crossref, OpenAlex etc. to verify citations, resolve DOIs, flag retractions, and validate nomenclature — only identifiers leave the session.
