Director Danny Boyle used AI sparingly in his new film Ink: roughly 30 seconds, to animate old photos and create realistic mice running through The Sun newsroom set. Having faced PETA backlash over real chimps in 28 Days Later, he finds AI superior to traditional CG for animal effects. His rule: AI is a useful tool only if used respectfully, and actors must be paid if replaced. The poster argues Boyle's anti-AI-actor stance is more about protecting industry status than judging the technology itself.
