800 photos recreate a 220-year-old Japanese inn in 3DGS using LichtFeld exposure correction

DuckbillStudio rebuilt the 220-year-old Ecchinya ryokan in Narai-juku as a 3D Gaussian Splatting scene from 800 photos, capturing its traditional white-plaster rooms and dark polished corridors.

The tricky part was inconsistent exposure and white balance across indoor shots. Enabling LichtFeld Studio's Exposure Correction feature produced a cleanly reconstructed result, and januschpatas noted it as another successful validation of that feature.
