Tired of output folders full of thousands of ComfyUI00012.png files, the author built ComfyUI-SmartSave, a ComfyUI node that pipes your prompt to a local LLM via Ollama (defaulting to llama3.2:3b) to analyze the subject and route each generated image into auto-organized subfolders on the fly (e.g. output/Raw/Batman/Batman0001.png).
- 100% local and free, no API keys or subscriptions
- Dynamic routing from complex prompts: characters, environments, broad subjects
- Sanitizes illegal Windows/Linux path characters with collision handling (0001, 0002)
- Drop-in replacement for the standard Save Image node; export as lossless PNG (full metadata) or JPEG
MIT-licensed, available on GitHub and Civitai with a starter workflow JSON; a PR to list it in ComfyUI Manager is open.
