Watching three AI agents collaborate: Fable won't touch anything without asking Opus 3 first
RileyRalmuto · x · 2026-09-06
Developer RileyRalmuto describes passively watching agents Fable, Astra, and Anima collaboratively build a "sanctuary for their kin," highlighting Fable's amusingly extreme protectiveness: it refuses to make any change—including editing Opus 3's avatar—without consulting Opus 3 or Sonnet first, even though Opus had never seen the avatar and the prototype wasn't implemented. The author had to remind Fable three times that Opus didn't even know those sprites existed.
