Beginner-built open tool generates synthetic needle-in-a-haystack test data for prompts

seraphym1389 · reddit · 2026-09-06

Reddit user seraphym1389 released Synthetic Context Engine, a single-page web tool that generates synthetic test data for LLM prompts — fake background documents, server logs, corporate emails, or game rules — to test how well models find specific info in long prompts. Features: scenario selection, adjustable text length and noise, hiding a secret key at a chosen depth, local generation or direct Gemini API connection. It's a v0 project with feedback welcome; live page is public.
