Hands-on: Astra one-shots a single-file Minecraft game, full sim done in 145 minutes

tegridyblues · reddit · 2026-09-06

Developer tegridyblues ran his usual 'dumb Minecraft test' on Astra: a complete single-file index.html modern mobile-responsive voxel game. The untouched one-shot output plus a single Astra Max revision pass was playable, and a follow-up top-down world sim (built with Codex CLI) took about 145 minutes total from first prompt. Comparable runs on Sol 5.6 typically took 3–5 hours with many more revisions. Not a benchmark, but the workflow felt noticeably smoother with better outputs.
