Developer DSkaale showcased an ultra-fast Splat-to-Voxel conversion for SplatBox in Unity, using progressive GPU generation and indirect instanced rendering to turn millions of Gaussian Splats into an interactive voxel environment.
Key features:
- GPU-instanced voxel rendering with per-voxel splat colors
- Progressive build visualization
- Compute-shader physics and collision forces
- Native Unity lighting, shadows, SSAO, fog and bloom post-processing
- CPU GameObject mode for traditional Rigidbody physics
The result: static Gaussian Splat captures become dynamic, destructible voxel worlds entirely inside Unity.
