Elon Musk amplified Dave Lee's long-form take: Cybercab marks a line in the sand—pre-Cybercab Teslas were designed around human driving, while post-Cybercab vehicles are built ground-up for AI driving with passenger comfort as the goal. Lee argues the unboxed manufacturing, RIM plastic shell, brake-by-wire, new drivetrain and thermal management can all carry over to cheaper consumer models: a purchasable 4-5 seater, a 6-7 seater, plus small sedan and CUV variants.
