Mathathon Challenge convenes pro- and anti-AI mathematicians to codify research conduct rules
_sathvikr · x · 2026-09-06

Citing @tonylfeng: math academics are frustrated with how AI companies publicize results but send mixed signals on alternatives; codifying a reasonable standard of conduct would attract good-faith followers, and tensions are becoming unnecessarily personal.
