Nvidia invests $3.5B in MediaTek as chipmaker joins NVLink Fusion ecosystem

Nvidia ($NVDA) is expanding its partnership with MediaTek, investing $3.5 billion in the Taiwanese chipmaker, which is joining the NVLink Fusion ecosystem. The move helps Nvidia's custom silicon customers stand up NVLink-connected data centers, with Broadcom, AMD and Marvell as competing players in the custom chip space.
