Self-building IDE bb gains agent chat rooms; dev says don't roll your own orchestration
andpoul · x · 2026-09-06
Developer @andpoul shared how he gave his agents in bb a shared chat room to pool info and coordinate, arguing "not everyone should build their own agent orchestration." bb is a self-customizing coding IDE: ask in plain language and it adds a task panel, a CLI command, and a skill every agent learns to use; its GitHub integration, agent memory, scheduled jobs and remote access are all plugins built with the same tools users get. A demo shows it triaging a Sentry spike (92% from one null-cart error), fixing it and adding a regression test. Available on macOS, Windows via WSL, and Linux with one-click install.
