GPT-6 builds a 9-stage interactive explainer on looped transformers
cto_junior · x · 2026-09-06
Responding to OpenAI DevRel's 24-hour GPT-6 Astra demo challenge, @ctojunior had GPT-6 generate an interactive explainer titled "GPT-6 Research Explorer: How Looped Transformers Work."
The piece runs 9 stages in 5 minutes: it teaches what a second pass through the same transformer layers can buy, via a small graph-reachability puzzle — one pass marks only known-reachable nodes' neighbors, then the reader rewires the return path and solves new cases. The link to looped-transformer research comes only after the mechanism is clear, explicitly noting it's not a claim about GPT-6 internals.
