GaussianCrowds brings real-time thousands-strong crowds to Unreal Engine with dynamic lighting
petewoodbridge · x · 2026-09-05
A developer known as Botancr is building GaussianCrowds for Unreal Engine, a technique that renders thousands of people in real time while keeping the draw lightweight. The crowd rendering also responds dynamically to lighting and shadow changes.
The project targets scenarios like stadiums, live shows, and battlefields, where large-scale crowd representation is needed.
