ECCV 2026 launches VisPer workshop on persuasive visual reasoning and generation in multimodal AI

ECCV 2026 will host the Visual Persuasion (VisPer) workshop on September 8 in Malmö, targeting persuasive visual communication as an emerging research direction. The organizers note that recommenders, ad platforms, multimodal agents, and generative assistants can produce content influencing beliefs, decisions, emotions, and behavior, while existing research mostly evaluates recognition, reasoning, or generation quality, overlooking persuasive impact.
Topics include implicit communicative intent in images, creativity and persuasive strategy modeling, effectiveness evaluation, cross-cultural/personalized persuasion, and responsible persuasive AI. Speakers include Serge Belongie, Paul Liang, Anna Rohrbach, Yaman Kumar Singla, and Xinying Hao.
