A Reddit user got LTX-2.5 22B Distilled image-to-video running on an RTX 4060 Laptop (8GB VRAM + 16GB RAM), achieving stable 576x1024, 24fps, 10-second generations, and open-sourced the full ComfyUI workflow.
Key approach: the 22B model is not fully loaded into VRAM — ComfyUI DynamicVRAM moves active parts to the GPU while RAM stages the rest, combined with W4A8 ConvRot quantized transformer and Gemma 12B text encoder, tiled VAE decode, and async weight offloading. Results show stable identity, coherent background geometry, no rainbow collapse, and no degradation over 10 seconds. Critical pitfall: --fp16-vae produced black video; --bf16-vae fixed it.
