Crew: An MIT-Licensed Desktop App Where Multiple LLM CLIs and People Share One Project

Two brothers built Crew, an MIT-licensed open-source desktop app born from juggling separate Codex, Claude, Gemini, and Kimi sessions. It detects already-signed-in model CLIs and lets multiple humans and agents work from one shared project: threads, files, terminal, design boards, plans, tickets, and shared memories. Local by default with optional join links. Key design call: no proxying of model calls—each agent stays on its owner's CLI and subscription, keeping usage visible but making shared state and handoffs the hard part. Mac and Windows builds available on GitHub.
