Interviewing 300 CEOs: most enterprises use AI to speed up garbage processes

The author spoke with 300+ CEOs, CIOs and CFOs at the world's largest companies and concludes that despite massive AI spending, little has changed for most enterprises. Companies apply AI on top of broken processes, so the result is simply faster garbage. He cites buying thousands of Claude Code licenses, $50M annual token spend, and Zoom-based AI training as symptoms of naive adoption, and argues enterprises should follow a proven adoption process rather than procurement-first playbooks.
