xAI's coding agent Grok Build released v1.0.19, with the official page confirming it is now powered by the new Grok 4.6 model and free to try.
Key changes in this release:
- Breaking change: scheduled /loop tasks now always run in the background and no longer inject turns into your conversation
- Session resume informs the model about still-running loops, subagents, and workflows
- MCP servers blocked by organization policy now get clear messages and are refused before any config change
- New transparent terminal theme; dashboard shows newly dispatched sessions immediately; worktree support for headless sessions
- Fixes for UI freezes, crashes, feedback issues, and faster first prompt after login
The tool supports AGENTS.md, plugins, hooks, and MCP out of the box, plus Plan mode with step-level approval and diffs, /skillify session capture, and team marketplaces for bundling skills, agents, and MCP servers.
