Epoch AI research shows AI data centers are scaling exponentially: the IT power capacity of the largest facilities has doubled every 10 months since mid-2024.
Jsevillamol adds that top datacenters are now the scale of a nuclear plant, and are on course to become larger. The study also examines whether the trend can continue.
