GPT-6 Astra rolls out to all Pro and Business users, with prompt and skills tuning tips
reach_vb · x · 2026-09-05
GPT-6 Astra is now available to all Pro, Enterprise, and Business Premium users in ChatGPT Work, Codex, and the API.
The author says Astra follows instructions much more closely and shares practical tuning advice:
- Treat "can you..." as "do it": finish authorized work and prepare a reviewable result before seeking approval
- Audit AGENTS.md and skills; ask the model to pinpoint the exact file and rule blocking progress, prioritizing your request over skill guidelines
- Specify short paragraphs, plain language, and phrases to avoid
- Use subagents on independent work when it improves speed or quality
- Run relevant checks, repeating or expanding only for changes, failures, or unresolved concerns
As a stress test, the author had it build a real-scale fly-through of the Nürburgring track in Blender, with impressive results.
