Developer lucasmeijer ran Google's Astra model in his Atelier coding agent and noticed it seems to treat newlines as optional. He also observed the behavior appears to hit an n² (or worse) codepath in his syntax highlighting stack — a notable edge case for anyone processing model output downstream.
