After losing his phone at the office, one user found Find My blocked by company MDM. Claude suggested tracking Bluetooth signal strength and wrote a live signal meter in about a minute — walking around and watching the number climb, he located the phone.
He later open-sourced the tool as findphone, a simple Mac command-line Bluetooth signal strength meter for situations where Find My is unavailable. 100% open source.
