Polymarket · x · 2026-09-05
Polymarket's market on whether the AI industry suffers a downturn by end of 2026 ($2.95M volume) currently prices just a 12% chance. Resolution requires at least three of: NVDA down 50% from ATH, SOXX down 40%, OpenAI/Anthropic bankruptcy or OpenAI acquired, H100 rental at $1.00 for five consecutive days, or TSMC/ASML/Broadcom/Arista/SMCI down 50% — all within 90 days.
Separately, AI startup micro1 offered $12.5 million for Spirit Airlines' massive internal data trove, outbidding Google's $10 million deal.
