Dev Answers LLM Skeptics: Clients Keep Failing to Build In-House, Humans Stay in the Loop

Responding to questions about whether LLMs will obsolete developers, the author says his business is built on licensing technology he built plus custom client solutions—many clients tried building in-house and failed. If LLMs could solve anything from a single prompt, he wouldn't have a business. Short of fiction-level AGI, humans will remain necessary in the loop, and practitioners should be thinking about how to position themselves for that future.
