Per Bloomberg, DeepSeek plans to deploy 160,000 Huawei processors at its gigawatt-scale Inner Mongolia data center — one of the largest known Huawei AI clusters if completed.
- Huawei's 950DT is designed for decode inference and training: 144GB memory, 4TB/s memory bandwidth, 2TB/s interconnect bandwidth
- Huawei's roadmap puts the 950DT at Q4 2026, and the 160k chips fill only part of the gigawatt site; the rest of DeepSeek's accelerator mix is unresolved
- If fulfilled, much of DeepSeek's inference moves to Chinese silicon while Nvidia stays on the most demanding training workloads
