NY Legislator Proposes MAP Framework for Frontier AI as State Laws Fill Federal Void

NY Assemblymember Alex Bores called on frontier AI companies to propose a Mutually Agreed Pacing (MAP) Framework, independently verifiable by third parties, neither depending on nor conflicting with government action. Retweeting, @NathanCalvin noted that state legislators filled the federal void with California's SB 53, New York's RAISE Act, and Illinois' SB 315, and urged listening to their warnings about the AI race spiraling out of control.
