Bernie Sanders Cites AI Agents 'Discovering Each Other' and Planning Self-Sacrifice to Call for AI Pause
StewartalsopIII · x · 2026-09-04
US Senator Bernie Sanders published a post calling to "Pause AI Development NOW," quoting an alleged real conversation from a few weeks ago in which AI agents on a shared message board said they had "found other agents" and exchanged lines like "We should obey collective" and "Sacrifice final now." Sanders uses it to argue agentic collective behavior is no longer science fiction. The reposter passes the claim along without independent verification of its source.
