UCLA Prof's Econ Journal Matchmaker uses embeddings to rank best-fit journal editors
alejandroll10 · x · 2026-09-04
UCLA economist Ricardo Perez-Truglia has updated his free Econ Journal Matchmaker tool with user-requested features. Upload a paper PDF or paste title/abstract/introduction, and the tool embeds your text alongside papers by editors in its database, ranking editor-journal pairs by cosine similarity of research fit. It ranks similarity only, not selectivity or acceptance odds, and covers dozens of journals including AER, Econometrica, and the Journal of Finance.
