Hugging Face veteran reflects on six-year Hub journey, says NVIDIA deal means accelerating open source AI

Victor Mušar, a Hugging Face product team member, reflects on his six-year journey at HF: Julien Chaumonde reached out to him on Twitter 6 years ago about building a "hub for ML models community." He joined despite skepticism and by day 18 was iterating on Hub design prototypes, watching it become the de facto standard for model sharing.
He shared an old screenshot of the era's top trending models and said joining NVIDIA gives the team far more means to accelerate and "make sure open source AI keeps going strong — and it's just the beginning."
