DeepSeek has reportedly purchased 160,000 Huawei Ascend 950DT chips to power its new 1-gigawatt data center in Inner Mongolia. The 950DT is Hopper-class and will be used for inference, while training workloads remain on NVIDIA GPUs. Unconfirmed officially.
