Reddit user arianaram, who works on interpretability research, shared a contour map of the Qwen 2.5 7B input embedding space, calling it the "Embedding Sea": every word in the model's vocabulary has a position, with dense clusters forming "mountains" and sparse regions becoming "oceans." Interestingly, "terrible," "splendid," and "cruel" are neighbors, clustering by intensity rather than sentiment, while "sexual" and "financial" share the same mountain. This is the underlying landscape before inference even begins — before the model sees any prompt.
