Any Human Ever is a website that picks one life at random from the 100+ billion humans who have ever lived, drawing a birth year, a location, and a life story step by step from real sourced historical data. Because population grew exponentially, random births cluster near the present. Sarah Drinkwater shared the experience after CJHandmer's run — dying of smallpox at age 7 in 1889 — drawing infant lives lost to diseases we've since eradicated, calling it a powerful "now zoom out" mechanism and a reminder of how lucky we are to be alive now.
