antoine_chaffin · x · 2026-09-04
Liquid AI's new hire Aurélien Luciani unveiled NeoMME, representation encoders trained from scratch instead of starting from a massive generative VLM — natively text+image, multilingual, built for speed. Two sizes (260M/800M, no vision tower), plus a fine-tuned visual document retriever, NeoMME-Retriever.
