- Nvidia has confirmed to The Verge that DLSS 5 will officially come to RTX 40-series GPUs after its RTX 50 debut, with performance tuning and model updates expected this fall.
- The reversal follows modders porting a leaked DLSS 5 build to nearly any GPU with sliders maxed; RTX 30/20-series attempts yielded unplayable framerates and crashes, so no official support is planned.
- Nvidia also declined to confirm whether previously announced DLSS 5 games will still ship with the tech, and won't give gamers full control.
