Instinct launches interface-free personal agent living in iMessage and WhatsApp
Scobleizer · x · 2026-09-04
Instinct founder Noah Shinn unveiled a personal agent with no new interface — you just text or call it, and it operates phones and computers like a human. Early users planned road trips, bought groceries and concert tickets, cancelled hundreds of dollars in subscriptions, even planned weddings; it's invite-only. Sriram K (RT'd by Scoble) calls it a turning point: Instinct and TownAI are entirely messaging-driven, with no app or website. That's instant value but platform dependence — Meta blocks Instinct from WhatsApp chats, and Apple may soon monetize or clone agent subscriptions. How this distribution model plays out is worth watching.
