Junie Local runs a coding agent on your Mac with unlimited usage, no credits

A heavy AI coding tools user says his biggest pain point is watching the token counter whenever an agent gets a big task, worrying how many credits it will burn.
Junie Local solves this by running the full Junie coding agent directly on a Mac:
- No tokens, no usage limits
- Works offline
- Code, prompts and diffs stay on your machine
Running /local inside Junie downloads the model, starts a local server, and switches to local mode. It currently runs Qwen 27B at 4-bit, optimized specifically for Junie.
The most interesting part is unlimited usage: you can let the agent freely handle multi-file refactoring, adding missing tests, dependency upgrades, framework migrations, and open-ended exploration.
