Miles Brundage, former OpenAI safety systems lead, called Google's Astra demos "crazy" and said Anthropic can't be far behind. He argued that anyone whose primary emotion about AI right now isn't concern is "massively misunderstanding the situation," adding he's very worried about the pace of progress.
