AriX reports that with Astra, ChatGPT's computer use is nearly 2x faster than before.
Beyond the new model, the team optimized the harness so computer-use tasks run much faster. These optimizations also carry over to existing models, speeding up tasks by roughly 60% on GPT-5.6 Sol.
