Ethan Mollick has GPT-6 Astra extend open-source ocean storm sim with procedural animal behavior
emollick · x · 2026-09-04
Ethan Mollick took ABYSSAL, an MIT-licensed open-source project by @TokenGremlin that procedurally renders waves, volumetric clouds, lightning, hurricanes, rogue waves and tsunamis in-browser with Three.js, WebGL2 and GLSL, and asked GPT-6 Astra to build out the rest of the ocean, including procedural simulations of animal behavior. Playable demo and source are both available online.
