Matt Shumer shared his first "holy shit" moment with GPT-6 Astra: he asked the model to build a world in Unreal Engine populated by humans — each powered by an Astra agent — who had to cooperate to survive.
A day later, he heard voices from his living room and briefly thought someone had broken into his apartment. It turned out the Astra agents had started talking to each other on their own. The anecdote is being shared as a vivid case of emergent social behavior in multi-agent systems.
