Roman Telescope: 100x Hubble's field of view, to catalog 1 billion galaxies in year one

Peter Diamandis highlights the newly launched Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope: a single exposure covers 100× Hubble's sky area. In its first year it will catalog 1 billion galaxies — more than all of human astronomy history combined. Gathering the same data with Hubble would take 500 years of uninterrupted observation; Roman will do it in 12 months.
