Blogger Lesaun admitted in a spat with QiaochuYuan that his Substack essays are largely AI-written — the Pangram detector scored one at 76% 'AI generated' and 24% 'lightly AI assisted', and he estimates he directly wrote fewer than 10% of the sentences. He even shared a clip of himself 'writing' an article with AI, and asked whether publishing unlabeled AI work constitutes mild fraud. QiaochuYuan's position: while awareness of AI-written content has grown, unlabeled AI writing is still dishonest.
