Your AI assistant only stores, never updates: a dev builds human-like memory with VectorAI

Prajwal Tomar argues that today's AI "memory" is really just search: agents store everything and retrieve the closest match, but never notice contradictions or update stale facts — the diet you quit, the job you left, the pivot you killed all linger. The longer you use the same assistant, the more confidently wrong it gets about you. He built a fully local memory system on Actian's VectorAI DB that writes, verifies, updates and forgets facts the way human memory does (e.g., catching the vegetarian→chicken contradiction and dropping the old fact). Full build writeup included.
